Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today:

Warmer than normal: High pressure over the West Coast is expected to bring above normal temperatures through the weekend in the Sacramento region. Dry, warm weather is forecast for the weekend, thanks to a persistent high pressure system. No rain is forecast for either today or Sunday. The normal high for Sacramento in late January is 55 degrees. However, today and Sunday afternoon maximum temperatures could hit 10 degrees above normal, according to the National Weather Service.

Rough patch: Skiers struggled this week to keep their spirits up as dark patches of dirt and grass poked through what should be long, smooth, white ski slopes near Truckee .

Airport hotel: Sacramento International Airport has reached a deal with a private developer to build a five-story luxury hotel, Hyatt Place, on airport property between the two passenger terminals, officials announced.

No-contest plea: Former Fox40 anchor Sabrina Rodriguez pleaded no contest Friday to a single misdemeanor theft count in a deal that resolves the felony shoplifting case she has been facing since last summer.

Inside Business: Elk Grove’s Faith Marie Lopez gets paid to make companies, products and even tourist destinations famous with Instagram. In a little more than a year, she’s expanded the Instagram reach of the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau to 25,000 followers from just 200, writes Bee columnist Cathie Anderson.

Record quarter: Golden State’s Klay Thompson scored 37 of the Warriors’ 41 points in the third quarter en route to a 126-101 win Friday night over the visiting Sacramento Kings. Thompson, who finished with 52 points, broke George Gervin and Carmelo Anthony’s record for most points in a quarter. Both netted 33.

Local sports today: Pig Bowl – The 41st annual Pig Bowl, a charity fundraising game featuring a team of law enforcement officers vs. firefighters, is scheduled to be played at 1 p.m. today at Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium. It’s the 13th anniversary of the “Guns and Hoses” battle. Previously, officers from the Sacramento Police Department played those from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. Pregame ceremonies will begin at noon.
