Special meeting in Rancho Cordova

The Rancho Cordova City Council will hold a special meeting from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Canfield Room of the city’s police headquarters, 2897 Kilgore Road. The continued discussion of the January 2016 and April 2016 retreat on the vision and priorities for the city is the meeting’s topic. Farmers market in West Sacramento

A weekly farmers market is held at 4:30 p.m. at West Sacramento City Hall, 1110 W. Capitol Ave. There will be fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs and more for sale. Go to landbasedlearning.org for more information.

▪ “Bear In Mind: The Story of the California Grizzly,” is a traveling exhibit chronicling the history of the state’s symbol, at the California Museum, 1020 O St., Sacramento. The grizzly bear exhibit, based on Susan Snyder’s 2004 book of the same name, can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday. The exhibit runs through June 19.
