The Lincoln City Council has chosen a man with previous experience in municipal government in Florida and Utah to be the Placer County town’s new city manager.

The council appointed Matthew Brower, 47, to the job. Brower, who will be paid $193,500 a year, assumes his new job Feb. 9.

Brower most recently was the city manager for Ocala, Fla. Prior to that, he served as city manager of Santa Clara City, Utah.

Brower replaces interim Lincoln City Manager Bill Zenoni, who stepped in when City Manager Jim Estep retired in August.
