Warm weather predicted for Sacramento area on weekend

Northern California will continue with above normal temperatures for the next week, according to the National Weather Service.

The high on Thursday in Sacramento is expected to be 69 degrees. The normal high for mid-February in the city is 60 degrees.

The area is in the clutches of a high pressure system that has prevented the introduction of wet weather and February’s normally chilly days. Look for 70-degree readings in Sacramento on Friday and Saturday.
