Roseville police today reported that more charges have been added for two Citrus Heights brothers arrested in connection with a Monday night robbery in the parking lot of a Roseville movie theater.
Roseville police responded to the parking lot of a movie theater complex in the 1500 block of Eureka road at 8:36 p.m. Monday. Two customers reported that two masked men had held them up at gunpoint and robbed them of personal property, according to a Police Department news release. The robbers then drove off in a dark-colored sedan. Neither victim was injured.
Following up on leads Tuesday morning, Roseville detectives went to various locations in Citrus heights. They arrested Salvador Diaz Jr., 21, on suspicion of robbery, possession of stolen property and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. Today, detectives added an added charge of participating in a criminal street gang.
They also arrested Julio Cesar Chavez, 26, on suspicion of possession stolen property and being an accessory to a felony. Today, detectives added charges of robbery and participating in a criminal street gang. Both men remain in custody in the Placer County Jail.
