Citrus Heights police report that 22 weapons of various types, along with ammunition, drugs and $93,000 in cash were found during searches Tuesday that led to the arrest of three men.
Citrus Heights and Folsom police SWAT officers executed search warrants at multiple locations in Citrus Heights as part of the Citrus Heights Police Department’s investigation into illegal weapons violations.
On Wednesday, police released a photo of weapons confiscated during the searches. They included three AK-47s, one Mac10 and one Tec-nine, as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition and three weapon suppressors, or silencers, according to a Police Department news release. Detectives also found approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine, 6 pounds of marijuana and $93,000.
Arrested and booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of numerous weapons violations were Alphonso Harris, 55, Mohammed Javed, 29, and David Smith, 67. Police said Smith also was arrested on suspicion of narcotics violations.
