Two men died and another was seriously injured in a shooting Saturday evening in south Sacramento, police report.
Sacramento police were called at 5 p.m. after neighbors heard gunshots at a home in the 4700 block of Brookfield Drive, said Officer Traci Trapani, police spokeswoman.
When officers arrived, they found two men in a garage with gunshot wounds, one of whom was unresponsive, Trapani said. Both were taken to the hospital. They also found a third man shot in a back bedroom, she said. He and one of the men in the garage were pronounced dead. The third man is at an area hospital with serious injuries.
Trapani said the suspected shooter was one of the men who died. There were no ages or names released for the victims. The men were “known to each other,” but Trapani did not know their exact relationship.

There were several people in the house at the time of the shooting, which police don’t believe is gang-related, Trapani said.
