Kim, Sacramento

A: No arrests have been reported in the January 2010 slaying of Gia Quoc Huynh.

Huynh was eating lunch with three friends at the Pho Ga Hung Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant on Savings Place in south Sacramento County about 2:15 p.m. when he was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant, according to stories in The Sacramento Bee.

Witnesses described the gunman as 28 to 35 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a dark ski mask and dark jacket.

Sheriff’s deputies said at the time that the shooting likely was gang-related. They cited Huynh’s gang affiliation and the amount of gang activity in the area near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street Expressway.
