North Highlands crash victim identified
The name of a passenger in a car that drifted off the road and into a power pole in North Highlands early Sunday has been released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office.
He was identified as 50-year-old Ronald Eugene Williams.
Williams was in car being traveling northbound at 40 mph on Roseville Road approaching Oak Hollow Drive about 1 a.m. when the driver fell asleep at the wheel, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The right front of the car hit a power pole, killing Williams. The driver survived and was transported to the hospital.
