Q: What happened in the case of the two brothers, Gregory Augustus and Hudson Augustus, who were killed back in 2002? Did they convict anyone for the murder?
A: Jovon Latrell Jordan was convicted of first- and second-degree murder in the November 2002 shooting deaths of Gregory Augustus, 18, and Hudson Augustus, 20.
Jordan was 16 at the time of the shooting but was tried as an adult. According to Sacramento Superior Court records available online, he was sentenced to 90 years in state prison.

The shooting occurred after one of the Augustus brothers and Jordan had a short conversation inside the East Coast Fashion store in the 3700 block of Marysville Boulevard in Del Paso Heights, according to stories in The Sacramento Bee.
Jordan apparently was angry about a comment made by one of the brothers and he followed them outside the store. The argument continued a few doors down the street in front of Danny’s Pizza and ended with Jordan shooting both brothers several times.
The Augustus brothers were out on bail after being charged in a robbery that occurred in June 2001. They were to be tried in January 2003. The trial had been delayed because Gregory Augustus had tried to convince the court that he was mentally incompetent to stand trial.
