Isleton woman killed in crash on river road identified by coroner

A woman killed in a car crash last week near Isleton has been identified by Sacramento County coroner’s officials.

Dawn Harshman, 51, of Isleton was driving alone in a Chevrolet Corvette at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday northbound on Highway 160 just north of Vieira Resort when she accelerated after pulling out of a driveway.

A witness told officers that the woman’s sports car appeared to be traveling 70 to 80 mph. As her car entered a sweeping left turn, Harshman lost control.

The car hit a large tree. A CHP news release said that it did not appear that Harshman was wearing a seatbelt.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
