Sacramento man charged with murder in motel death
The Sacramento Police Department arrested a Sacramento man Thursday in connection with the death of a woman found in a south Sacramento motel late last month.
Mario Michael Mayorga, 35, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Thursday night and charged with murder.
He is suspected in the killing of 48-year-old Tina Louisa Morales, whose body was found Nov. 25 inside a motel room of the Best Western John Jay Inn on Massie Court, off Stockton Boulevard. Police said the Sacramento woman suffered trauma to her head.
Mayorga is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
