Roseville vandalism lands teens in restroom, not jail
In a case of the punishment fitting the crime, some young people who made a mess of a Roseville public restroom were required to clean it up.
The minor vandalism occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Roseville firefighters and police responded to a report of a “white explosion” in a restroom at Cresthaven Park near Cirby Way and Riverside Avenue.
The explosion turned out to be a prank. Teens had sprayed a fire extinguisher inside the restroom.
Witnesses identified the guilty parties and officers called their parents. The parents were very cooperative with officers, according to a police newsletter, and made sure the teens returned to the park and cleaned up the mess.
