DA’s office taking Citizens Academy applications
The Sacramento District Attorney’s Office is once again taking applications from people interested in participating in its community/criminal-justice Citizens Academy.
According to an office press statement, the free, 10-week program is designed “to improve communication, foster a better understanding and develop relationships between members of the criminal justice system and our ethnic, cultural and faith-based communities as well as all citizens.”
The application deadline is March 13. Sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, April 7 at Sacramento police headquarters, 5770 Freeport Boulevard.
