The father of the baby found dead in a Yolo County slough is out of jail after his second arrest in less than a week.
Frank Talliesen Rees was arrested Friday afternoon at his Woodland home by Yolo County sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and ammunition as an ex-felon, authorities said.
Rees was bailed out late Friday on $45,000, according to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office.
This was the second time that Rees – the father of Justice Rees, found dead in Ridge Cut Slough last week – had been released from custody. On Wednesday , he was allowed to walk from jail after his arraignment on traffic-related violations. He was to serve that sentence at a later date.

Yolo County Sheriff Ed Prieto would not say what prompted the warrant search and maintained that deputies’ investigation into Rees is not connected to the death of Rees’ infant son in February.
Rees’ fiancée, Samantha Lee Green, 23, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in connection with the death of Justice Rees. The nearly three-week-old infant was found in the slough on Feb. 25. Green remains in Yolo County custody in lieu of $250,000 bail. Her next court date is set for March 30 in Yolo Superior Court.
