Fire crews extinguish blaze at 17th and J streets

Sacramento firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire at a car repair shop on J Street early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews arriving at the blaze around 6 a.m. Wednesday observed smoke and flames. Cause of the fire was under investigation.
Heavy traffic was being experienced around 6:45 a.m. as engines were positioned outside the business. Motorists were being advised to avoid the area of 17th and J streets by the Sacramento Fire Department.
