A man convicted of raping a woman last year in her Oak Park home has been sentenced to 22 years in state prison.
Terence Bowman, 29, was sentenced Friday by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Russell Hom. A jury in February convicted him of forcible rape, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release.
On Jan. 3, 2014, Bowman raped the woman in her home and after the assault, the woman immediately walked to UC Davis Medical Center to obtain treatment, authorities said.
Bowman has previous felony convictions for robbery and resisting an executive officer.
