Police in Rancho Cordova have arrested a man sought in a 2013 killing of a 31-year-old Sacramento woman.
Sacramento police said Avery Draughty had been sought in the shooting death of Tiffany Silva, who was gunned down in the 3700 block of Balsam Street on Nov. 28, 2013.
In a press release issued a week after the incident, authorities said Draughty had fled the scene along with his girlfriend, Wanette Armstrong, in a white two-door sedan. Sacramento police appealed to the public at the time for any information on the whereabouts of Draughty, who authorities said was considered armed and dangerous.
On Sunday, Sacramento police said Draughty, 31, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Rancho Cordova by Rancho Cordova police. Authorities provided no additional details on his arrest.
