An unidentified man died Sunday evening after crashing his motorcycle into a truck in Grass Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The 61-year-old man from Eureka was riding a 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle heading eastbound on Highway 20, west of Wild Turkey Lane, when he crossed double yellow lines and hit a Dodge truck, CHP said.
The motorcycle hit the left front side of the truck, causing the rider to fly into the air, CHP said.
The truck’s driver, David Sidebottom, 73, of Grass Valley, stayed on scene and received treatment for minor injuries to his forearms, CHP said.
