The man stabbed to death last week in a fight that broke out at a Rio Linda home was identified Monday as 18-year-old Russell William Jarvis of Roseville.
Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies arrested Nicholas Joseph Scott on Tuesday in the killing.
Deputies were called to the 6700 block of West Second Street in Rio Linda at 6:50 p.m. May 1. When they arrived, they found Jarvis with a stab wound in the upper torso. Deputies also found Scott inside the residence with major injuries to his hands.
Both men were taken to an area hospital. Jarvis was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sgt. Tony Turnbull, sheriff’s spokesman, said the two had had past issues and Jarvis had gone to Scott’s residence, where the two got into a fight.
