Police need help in finding a van that was driven away from the murder of a Citrus Heights woman on Monday.

The woman who was killed is identified on the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office website as Kimberly Ann Chittenden, 46, of Citrus Heights.

Citrus Heights police say that she was found in her home in the 7900 block of Rocky Point Court near Sunrise Boulevard and Madison Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene about 2:40 p.m. Monday, Chittenden was unresponsive.

She was rushed to a hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead at 3:13 p.m.

While not providing many details of how Chittenden died, police said that her injuries indicated that she had been assaulted.
