A man and a woman were arrested Monday on suspicion of robbery, battery with great bodily injury and elder abuse of a man in Citrus Heights.
Citrus Heights police responded about 4:30 p.m. Monday to the area of Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback lane where a 70-year-old man had been assaulted and robbed of his money and other belongings.
He was transported to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, a witness provided descriptions of possible suspects to a patrol officer.
One suspect, Briardy Duran, 20, was taken into custody. Her alleged accomplice, Garett Wallace, 24, was seen running into a nearby apartment complex.

He was found a short time later hiding on an apartment patio.
Wallace and Duran were booked into Sacramento County Jail.
