A Sacramento law enforcement task force has arrested 10 people for allegedly copying music compact discs and movie video discs.
Some of the movie digital video discs were of movies still in theatrical release and not available for legitimate DVD sale.
Search warrants were executed Friday in San Jose that led to the seizure of about 75,000 counterfeit music compact discs, 60,000 pirated DVDs and equipment to duplicate discs.
The counterfeit materials allegedly produced by the men were being sold in Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto.

The arrests and seizures were the result of an investigation by the Sacramento Intellectual Property Rights Task Force, which includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
