El Dorado deputy booked on domestic violence charge

An El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Deputies responded Thursday to the 4000 block of Oak Leaf Circle in Placerville on a domestic violence report. Deputies conducted an investigation, eventually arrested one of their own.

Deputy Shane Humbird, 36, was arrested and booked into El Dorado County Jail. He has since posted bail.
