Man wounded in drive-by shooting in Del Paso Heights
One man was injured in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Two men were sitting in a parked car on the 1400 block of Rene Avenue at about 10:20 a.m. when an SUV drove by and shots were fired. Two people were in the car but only one was struck.
He was grazed in the arm and was transported by a family member to a hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury, Heinlein said.
Investigators do not know the color of the SUV or how many people were involved in the shooting, said Sgt. Bryce Heinlein, spokesman for the Sacramento Police Department.
Police are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related and are reaching out to members of the public for further information.
