Video shows passenger vehicle clipping El Dorado sheriff's patrol car. Now, somebody’s wanted

A camera captured a vehicle’s mirror going airborne when the driver clipped an El Dorado County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle parked alongside the road.

Now, sheriff’s deputies area asking for help in finding the driver who didn’t stop after hitting the unoccupied sheriff’s squad car. The incident happened Friday on Pleasant Valley Road near Diamond Springs.

Deputies were away from their vehicles when what is thought to be a Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly a model made between 2005 and 2010, hit the patrol car. Deputies ask that if you spot a vehicle similar to the one seen on the video posted on the sheriff’s Facebook page that is missing a passenger side mirror to give them a call.
