Woman barricaded inside home surrenders to Sacramento police
A female suspect surrendered to Sacramento police mid-afternoon Sunday after allegedly assaulting her landlord and then barricading herself inside the house.
The 4900 block of Toronto Way, just north of Fruitridge and Power Inn roads, was blocked off for several hours as police and SWAT personnel surrounded the home and communicated with the suspect. Police said she was armed with a knife.
Police said the woman, who has not yet been identified, surrendered around 3 p.m. after tear gas was used.
The landlord, who likewise was not identified, was able to escape with what police described as minor injuries.
