The Placer County Sheriff’s dive team on Monday aided in a search in Nevada County for a San Francisco man who went missing while swimming last week.
Divers were unable to find the man in the South Yuba River, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Officials warn that with snow melting after large winter storms, river levels are high and will be dangerous in some places for a while. They advise recreation seekers to swim in lakes while wearing personal flotation devices.
