One man died and another was injured Tuesday morning when a vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic on Rosevile Road in Sacramento’s Hagginwood neighborhood.
The crash occurred near Connie Drive about 11:15 a.m. Sacramento police spokesman Officer Justin Brown said a man driving a sedan with a woman and child as passengers was southeast on Roseville Road and drifted into oncoming traffic. He said the sedan sideswiped a truck headed northeast on Roseville Road, then struck another oncoming vehicle.
The driver, the only occupant of the second oncoming vehicle, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Brown said the driver of the sedan also was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Neither the passengers in the sedan nor the truck driver were injured.
The name of the driver who died has not been released pending notification of family. Brown said the man was believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s.
