Giddy-up: Free horse camp offered by Placer Sheriff’s Office
A free summer horse riding program that pairs deputies and their horses with grade-schoolers is sure to fill up fast.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office’s annual “Ride With Pride” camp is a one-day horse camp in which youngsters have fun while learning to care, handle and ride horses. Children age 7 through 12 can participate.
The camps take place on June 15, 16, 17 and 18 at Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. The one-day camps will be held from 9 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Lunch is provided.
