Mother, 3 kids hospitalized after being hit by vehicle in Roseville
A mother and three children were taken to hospitals Thursday night after they were struck by a vehicle while crossing a Roseville street.
Roseville police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said the incident occurred at 7:11 p.m. at Junction Boulevard and Americana Drive, in front of a fire station.
She said a mother and three children, ages 2 to 12, were crossing the street at the intersection. They were in the westbound lanes when they were struck by a Nissan Sentra, occupied by a driver and passenger, Gunther said.
The 2-year-old was taken to UC Davis Medical Center. The mother, a 12-year-old and an 8-year-old were taken to a local hospital. Gunther said it appeared that none of the victims had injuries that were life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Junction Boulevard in the area of Americana Drive was closed to traffic for several hours for the accident investigation.
