Folsom Jimboy’s restaurant damaged in early morning fire
A Jimboy’s Tacos restaurant in Folsom was damaged in a early Friday morning fire.
Folsom firefighters were dispatched to the 700 block of East Bidwell Street at 2:46 a.m. regarding a fire alarm activation. When they arrived, they saw fire and smoke from the front window of the restaurant, according to a Fire Department news release.
Additional fire crews were requested and the fire was controlled within about eight minutes. Firefighters remained on scene for about three hours to extinguish hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
Damage to the restaurant was estimated at $50,000 said Division Chief Chad Wilson. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
