A Yuba County man suspected of injuring his 2-week-old son was arrested after the infant was taken a local hospital Monday afternoon.

Glen Robert Haskell of Plumas Lake was taken into custody Monday evening by Yuba County sheriff’s detectives.

Deputies were called to the hospital at 3:45 p.m. after the infant was brought to the emergency room with both arms fractured. Further investigation revealed that the child had been shaken, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

The infant was transferred to a Sacramento-area hospital, where he was undergoing treatment Tuesday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
