Highway 160 crash claims life of Sacramento motorcyclist

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night on Highway 160 in Sacramento when he crashed in the roadway median.

The motorcyclist was southbound on Highway 160 just south of Canterbury Road about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when his Kawasaki motorcycle crashed into the center divider. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified him as Khamfane Khamphoumy, 36, of Sacramento.

The California Highway Patrol said that a friend was following Khamphoumy on another motorcycle and that the friend was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
