An Oroville man was found shot in the head inside a home Saturday morning, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

The sheriff’s office responded to a call of a dead body on the 2900 block of Greenville Street in Oroville at around 10:30 a.m. When they got to the house, they found 21-year-old Lorenzo Paz II lying with a bullet wound in his head.

Paz’s death has been ruled a homicide. The investigation remains open, though no suspects have been identified. Anyone with information about Paz’s death is asked to call Detective Jim Beller at 530-538-7671.
