Crews extinguish fires off I-5, Highway 99 in Sacramento
Two fires in northern Sacramento burned approximately 4 acres of grass and brush Monday afternoon.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded about 3 p.m. to the fires, one off Highway 99 and the other near the Interstate-5/Highway 99 interchange, said Chris Harvey, a Fire Department spokesman.
The fire were extinguished by 3:45 p.m., but Harvey said firefighters remained on scene mopping up the area. The cause of the fires has not been determined.
