A Sacramento motorcyclist died from injuries suffered Wednesday night after his vehicle hit the pavement on Exposition Boulevard.
Barry Owens, 23, was riding eastbound on Exposition Boulevard near Response Road at about 8 p.m. Wednesday when he suddenly locked up his front brake, according to a Sacramento police press release.
The sudden braking caused the motorcycle to fall onto its right side. The rider and the Suzuki 650 sport bike slid a short distance before hitting an embankment.
Owens’ body was found near the roadway. He was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries at 12:44 a.m. Thursday.
