Two men sought in armed robbery of Woodland-area convenience store

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Tuesday night armed robbery of a Woodland-area convenience store.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the AM/PM market at 16435 County Road 99, or West Street, just north of Woodland near Interstate 5, about 10 p.m. A witness reported that two males wearing black ski masks and black hooded sweatshirts entered the store and demanded cash from the store clerk. One of the robbers was armed with a handgun and a round was fired during the robbery, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

No one was injured.

The robbers left with an undetermined amount of money and headed toward Woodland, the news release said.
