A man with a record as a sex offender has been sentenced to 131 years and six months to life in prison for child sexual assault.
A jury in September convicted 61-year-old Kurt Chilcott of nine counts of sexual assault on children 10 or younger, eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and one count of annoying or molesting a child with the allegation that Chilcott had a prior conviction of child sexual assault, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release. Chilcott was sentenced Friday by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Michael Bowman.
Chilcott was required to register as a sex offender after he was convicted in 1992 of sexually assaulting three girls in Sonoma County. The victims in that case ranged in age from 8 to 11 years old. From 2014 to 2016, Chilcott assaulted a family member when she was 8 to 11 years old, the news release said.
