San Jose police are looking for a 25-year-old Sacramento man suspected of shooting his girlfriend in a car and then dumping her body on the side of a street earlier this week.
Andrew “Drew” Butler is suspected in the Tuesday shooting death of 33-year-old Kendra Gonzales, also of Sacramento, according to a news release from the San Jose Police Department.
Police said Gonzales was driving in San Jose on Tuesday night, with Butler in the front passenger seat. The couple got into an argument and Butler shot Gonzales, police said.
Police say Butler then dragged Gonzales out of the car and left her on the road. He ordered two passengers in the back of the car to get out and take the couple’s 1-year-old daughter, who was also in the automobile, police said.

Butler drove off in the car, which was later found in Salinas, police said. Investigators said Butler could be in Sacramento but that he also has ties to Monterey County. He should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
The suspect is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair and has a mole near his left eye. He was last seen wearing a navy blue short-sleeved shirt with “Ford” written across the chest.
