A man accused of threatening employees of a North Natomas business with burning paper, then fighting with police officers, was arrested Tuesday.
The incident occurred about 7:40 a.m. at a grocery store in the 2800 block of Del Paso Road, said Officer Eddie Macaulay, a Sacramento Police Department spokesman. Officers were told a man was trying to light people on fire.
When officers arrived, they attempted to detain the man, identified as 35-year-old Jorge Rodriguez. He appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, and as police tried to walk him out of the store, he began to fight the officers, according to the Police Department’s activity log. Officers used Taser to take him into custody.
An officer suffered minor injuries, the report said.
