Up to $45,000 in laptops taken from Sacramento State laboratory
Dozens of laptop computers recently came up missing from a Sacramento State laboratory.
As first reported by The State Hornet, the campus newspaper, 35 of the lab’s 36 new Dell laptops were taken from a Calaveras Hall lab on Oct. 20. The total value of the stolen computers is estimated to be as much as $45,000.
“The suspect gained entrance and stole them overnight,” Sacramento State Police Chief Mark Iwasa told The State Hornet. “We are still processing the information.”
The lab will be closed while the school works to replace the laptops.
