Lincoln man arrested second time for allegedly throwing rocks at vehicles
A man with a history of throwing rocks at vehicles was arrested by Lincoln police Wednesday afternoon.
Police received two reports about 4:30 p.m. of rocks being thrown at vehicles on Lincoln Boulevard at the Auburn Ravine crossing. One vehicle was hit, according to a Lincoln Police Department news release.
Officers detained 45-year-old Conrad Maldonado in the area and the victims identified him as the person who threw the rocks, police said.
Police noted that this is not the first time Maldonado has been accused of the offense. He was arrested in March after officers received reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles, also in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Auburn Ravine. When officers attempted to contact him regarding an incident that had just occurred, Maldonado picked up a rock and threw it at a vehicle that was stopped in traffic, causing approximately $1,000 in damage to the vehicle, police reported at the time.
Following Wednesday’s incidents, Maldonado was arrested on suspicion of throwing an object at a moving vehicle and for violation of probation.
