The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying a man and woman suspected of a July 2014 burglary and vehicle theft at the Auburn Racquet Club.
On July 15, the pair entered the club. They then split up, and each allegedly stole items from gym lockers, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
When they left the building, the man got into a 2005 Lexus SC430 coupe using keys taken from one of the lockers, sheriff’s officials said. He drove away in the Lexus, while the woman drove off in the alleged getaway vehicle, a white, early 1990s Toyota 4Runner. The Lexus had a personalized rear license plate of “PUPTOTE.” The vehicle has not been recovered.
Sheriff’s officials on Tuesday released a photo of a Lexus similar to the one stolen and photos of the suspects. Anyone with information regarding the location of the stolen vehicle or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective Andrew Lyssand at (530) 889-6917. Anyone with information who wishes to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 should call Placer County Crime Stoppers at (800) 923-8191.
