A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an April 2 robbery at a Rancho Cordova gas station, and sheriff’s detectives are trying to determine whether he is linked to other crimes in the area.
Jovante Roland Taylor of Rancho Cordova is accused of the armed robbery at a gas station in the 10600 block of Coloma Road, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. In the evening hours, he allegedly entered the gas station armed with a gun and took merchandise. He was described as wearing black pants and black shoes with white soles, and carrying a black or silver handgun.
Detectives obtained the business’ surveillance video and were able to identify Taylor through physical evidence at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.
Taylor was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a gun, and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Tuesday, with bail set at $100,000.
