2 detained after body found at 13th and X streets in Sacramento

Sacramento police are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found early Wednesday morning in a building on the outskirts of the Land Park neighborhood.

The man’s body was found in a building that includes a scooter shop and residence in the 1300 block of X Street. Police were called to the scene at about 3:20 a.m. when a caller to dispatch reported hearing loud crashing sounds coming from the building.

When officers arrived they detained a man and woman who had property that may have been taken from the building. Inside the building, they found the dead man.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene. A police spokesman said the man’s death is suspicious.
