Bullet grazes woman outside Elk Grove movie house

A movie patron was struck by a stray bullet early Saturday while in the parking lot of an Elk Grove movie house.

The incident began inside the Century Theaters, 9349 Big Horn Blvd., about 12:07 a.m., Elk Grove police said. There was an altercation between two groups of people that moved outside, officials said.

An unidentified person fired a handgun, striking the victim and two parked cars, said Christopher Trim, police department spokesman. The female victim’s injuries are believed to be superficial. No arrests were made.
