A missing 8-year-old Fairfield boy, the subject of a statewide Amber Alert, has been found in his parent’s car, which was stolen with him inside earlier this morning.
Brock Guzman had last been seen inside the 2001 Toyota Corolla. The car was taken from outside his family home at about 4:45 a.m. Monday, according to Fairfield police.
Fairfield police spokeswoman Officer Kathryn McCormick said that the boy was found in the car about 8:15 a.m. Monday about two miles from the parent’s home. He is safe and has been re-united with his parents.
A citizen noticed the car and phoned police. McCormick said that the car was ditched when the thief became aware of the child in the back seat.

McCormick said that the parents had loaded the sleepy Brock into the car to travel to school in Napa and had turned the car on to warm up the vehicle before going back into the house. The car was then stolen with the boy inside.
The car thief has not been apprehended.
