A man was stabbed several times early Thursday in Lincoln but is expected to live, police said.
A man approached the victim about 2:15 a.m. near First and O streets and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest, said Sgt. Matt Alves of the Lincoln Police Department. The victim’s friends told police the attacker was wearing a ski mask and had a teardrop tattoo under his left eye.
The victim arrived at Sutter Roseville Medical Center via a private transport, Alves said. The hospital notified authorities of the attack at about 3 a.m.
Alves could not answer what led to the altercation or what kind of knife was used. The assault remains under police investigation.
