El Dorado County sheriff’s officials are trying to identify two people who reportedly robbed a woman of her purse Monday, then dumped the contents, taking only her medications.
Deputies responded about 11:57 a.m. to the 3000 block of Newtown Road, east of Placerville. The woman caller told them she was attacked by two people, a man and a woman, who pushed her to the ground and stole her purse. They reportedly dumped the contents of the purse, stealing only her medications. The woman was not injured.
The assailants reportedly left in a late 1960s’ to early 1970s’, dark blue or black two-door pickup truck, heading toward Placerville.
The man was described as white, about 30 years old, with dark hair and wearing a dark shirt and shorts. His female companion was described as white, 25 to 35 years old, with red hair.

No weapons were seen, sheriff’s officials said.
